Navigation of the Heart

The soft breeze caressed her gently, making her sail effortlessly through the open waters. Alone on this vast ocean, she who once was the pride of the navy traveled leisurely, her crew enjoying the blessed weather on her open deck. It had been only a few days since the storm had violently hit, sending the Joie de Vivre crashing into the night. But the old ship still held strong, and with the expert hands aboard her, they had survived the night. Standing at the helm, a lone figure surveyed the vast ocean around them, hoping against hope for a sign of land. His wild blonde hair was conveniently hidden under a bandana, a few rebel strands eagerly dancing on the wind. He sighed softly and turned his eyes towards the rest of the crew. All of them were relaxing on the deck, singing loud tavern songs and playing all those sailor games. His eyes caught the lean and muscular frame of their navigator, sitting on the steps a large map unfolded across his lap. He had tied his shirt around his head to fight off the sun and beads of sweat could be seen dripping down his body. At his side was a tin cup that he held preciously as though his life depended on its content.

The blonde Captain shook his head, “And maybe it does...” They had lost most of their provisions in the storm as well as most of their water. And the clear skies above them did not predict any rain soon. Out here on the ocean, the sun quickly became one’s worst enemy. Motioning his aide to take over, he made his way over to the other man.

He stood above his navigator not bothering to say a word as his tall body cast a cool shadow on the other man. “Tell me Captain, does it matter if we were blown off course towards the east or if it was towards the west?” he said in a tired voice, not bothering to look up.

“Now now Jan, it all depends where the closest island is,” the blonde man answered with a small grin.

“That was probably somewhere out west then.” Jan took a sip from his cup, the water splashing on his face and down his chin. “So then based on my calculations, we were blown somewhere far to the East.” he added as he finally looked up, his dark eyes emotionless.

The Captain sighed and crouched and said in a lower voice, trying to keep their conversation more private. “Jan, I wont have you talking like that. You’re the best navigator of these seas; you’ll tell me exactly where we are no?”

“I already told you Captain, we’re supposed to be right here.” His finger stabbed automatically on a small hand-drawn cross on the map, his eyes never leaving the other man’s. “Right where this island is supposed to be. Isn’t it a lovely island, Captain? Look at all those trees and water...” As he spoke, Jan’s tone quickly became more and more sarcastic.

“Jan.” The leader of this vessel did not need to raise his voice much, yet the authority with which he spoke seemed to silence the entire ship. “I will have a talk with you in private.” He stood and walked down the rest of the stairs towards his cabin. The look in his clear eyes made everyone quickly look away from him and return to their normal activity. He glanced back towards Jan, still sitting on his steps. “Now, Jan.” Reluctantly Jan stood, gathering his map in one hand and his precious cup in the other. He pulled off the shirt from his head and put it back on, his black hair tumbling down to barely graze over his shoulder. He buttoned a handful of the buttons for show as he entered into the Captain’s cabin. There he found the blonde man standing by one of the windows, staring out at the sea. “What the hell do you think you’re doing, Jan?” he asked after a few minutes of silence.

“I’m sorry, Captain. I lost it. I’ve been sitting too long under the sun trying to understand what is wrong,” the navigator answered after a few seconds. “I’m... not used to being wrong,” he added hesitantly.

“You don’t have to be so formal here Jan, you know that.” The Captain turned around and leaned against the window, the sunlight reflecting off the ocean, casting an eerie light about him. A smile dawned on his face as he continued. “And I know we’re running out of water, and that we are lost. But I’d rather you of all people not show it.”

Jan walked up to his friend, looking out the window as they stood side by side. “I know. I shouldn’t have. But they were all having fun and here I was still staring at my map.”

“Are you not having enough fun then, Jan?” came the simple question, a small hint of something else hidden in the tone.

The black haired man did not answer or even move. He simply stood there watching out the ocean. He did not want to look at the man standing next to him, to see his firm muscle barely hidden by his opened shirt, to see the gleam in those eyes, to see the smirk curving those delicious lips. “I’m always having fun, Captain,” he finally said. He did not move either as he felt the other man move closer to him.

“Why are you always like this Jan?” The Captain seemed to almost be pouting, but the predatory smile he wore belied his tone of voice.

“Because one of us has to.” Jan turned around to face the other man but was suddenly pushed back against the window. He did not have time to blink before a pair of hungry lips captured his in a passionate kiss. He fought for a minute, resisting the urge to let his eyes close, but soon found himself moaning into the other man’s mouth. His hand gripped the blonde’s shoulder and suddenly pushed him back. His hair had fallen into his eyes, veiling the glare that was in them as he tried to reclaim his breath. “What are you doing?” he finally managed to say.

“What do you think I’m doing?” The blonde smirked and grabbed the other man’s hands before pinning them to the glass. He leaned over him and whispered hotly in his ear. “I saw all those glances you gave me today... Don’t think I can’t read that mind of yours...”

“But we can’t!” Alarm was slowly creeping into his voice as his eyes caught the cabin’s door. Only a small wooden wall kept them from the rest of the crew.

“Don’t tell me you’re shy now?” The Captain sounded almost amused by this as he started nipping at the other man’s neck

“I... nnn... Don’t do that...” Jan tried to free his hands but the other was too strong. Even if he knew he would not stop him, he couldn’t help but try. “I don’t want...”

“Oh? You don’t want what?” The larger man pushed his body against the other, grinding their hips together in a slow but forceful motion. He grinned from ear to ear as his motion rewarded him with a small gasp from the other man. “You can’t win…” he said softly as he took the other into another deep kiss. Jan found his body reacting faster than his mind could control and soon answered the other man by parting his lips slightly. He moaned as a tongue invaded his mouth, dancing sensually over his own, exploring every depth of it. He quickly longed to feel that warm and delicious tongue over the rest of body. When they finally parted, both were breathing a bit faster.

“Matthias...” he said softly as he looked into the clear eyes in front of him. That was like opening a floodgate. Soon both men were kissing each other again, their hands roaming over their bodies, rapidly shedding shirts and attacking belts. Jan gasped loudly as he felt a warm tongue lick and nip at one of the now erect bud on his chest. He arched into the mouth, his back pushing against the cold glass behind him. Each time the blonde’s tongue swirled over it, each time his teeth grazed and nipped at it, Jan moaned, his cries and need growing rapidly. “More... please...” he begged between pants.

With a grin and a victorious look in his eyes the tall man eagerly complied as he moved down the supple body, pulling the bothersome pants down as he did. He admired the beautiful naked body before him before teasingly licking up the man’s inner thigh.

“Ahhh....” he cried out, parting his legs in an automatic reflex. He almost cried out as he suddenly felt something wet and warm engulf his throbbing manhood, the expert tongue licking and teasing, slowly driving him wild. “I want...you...” he babbled incoherently as the blonde man worked his magic. He barely noticed the fingers moving towards his opening. His head fell back with an inaudible cry as he felt the finger push deep into him, slowly stretching him. It took all his will and might not to suddenly come into the other man’s mouth.

Sensing his lover was more than ready, Matthias slowly pulled back, running his tongue teasingly over the swollen tip. “Hmmmm... I love it when you are like this...” he said in a low growl. As the other man whimpered softly with the loss of warmth, he moved up to capture his lips in a hungry kiss, hiking one leg up in the process. He positioned himself and as he ran his tongue over Jan’s lips and pushed himself into his warm body. The audible cry he earned from his lover made his entire body shiver. It did not take long for him to thrust in and out of him, a gradual rhythm quickly building, fuelled by Jan’s cries of pleasure.

As both men soon became lost in their wild pleasure, Jan felt a strong hand grip his neglected hard on and quickly stroke it. “Aaah...” he cried out, loosing all sense of control as the stroking and the thrusting only increased. “Matt... I’m... I’m... going... Ma-ahhhh!” He arched his body towards the other man as his seed suddenly exploded out of him, coating both their chests. He soon heard a similar cry of pure pleasure come from his lover as he came inside him. Both men slumped against each other, slowly falling to the ground, barely able to catch their breath anymore.

Matthias smiled and gently kissed his lover’s lips. “I do love it when you’re like that...” he said before nuzzling his neck contently. Jan only shook his head and wrapped his arms around him.

After a few minutes, a small pounding sound was heard on the door. “Capt’n? Capt’n? You done?” came a voice. Grumbling loudly the blonde got up off the ground, somehow managing to straighten most of his clothes.

“What?!” he growled at the poor sailor at the door.

“Land ho,” came the weak answer. “We tried to tell you earlier but I don’t think you heard us...”

The Captain could hear the rest of the crew trying not to laugh. He looked over his shoulder back at Jan’s naked form on the ground and smiled. “Hear that, Jan? You were right; there was an island.”
