Dancing In the Shadows
by Shuuki
The night was cooler than it should be for June, and the moon swollen beyond its usual girth of mid-summer. The hiss of windblown leaves had replaced the familiar hum of cicadas, as if the swaying of the boughs had lulled the insects to sleep. Sleep had, however, steadily refused the young man gazing upon this ethereal scene. Black locks peeked out from under his comforter and fanned over his pillow; dark eyes caught the moonlight as they watched the shivering treetops. Jun was restless... expectant...
He rolled over on his back with a sigh and watched the shadow play on his ceiling. A chilling draft stole through a crack in the sliding glass door near his bed and the shadows moved... swirling, separating and combining until... Jun rubbed an eye and mumbled... “Looks like a figure.” His neck cracked as he snapped his head around to the glass door, black eyes growing wide, heart freezing in his chest. He hoisted himself up onto a weak elbow, shrinking against the wall at the sight of a tall, dark form standing silently in his room. The moon framed the figure in blue light, catching tendrils of long hair tumbling down over broad shoulders.
Jun’s mind flickered briefly to images from his art class textbook - night terrors rendering sleepers helpless as some menacing force invaded their rooms… their dreams.
Something was smothering him as this looming figure suddenly approached, but no protest would pass his lips. Jun could only tremble weakly, propped up against his pillow as the shadow loomed over him. The boy’s eyes even refused to shut against the impending terror, against the hand that was reaching toward him, his mind shrieking in protest. Ice touched his cheek and fire shot through his body. Eyes wide with terror widened with shock as Jun’s every nerve came alive... and a pair of chillingly beautiful eyes met his own as the figure bowed close to his face.
“Midnight’s greeting to you... Jun.”
The cool velvet of that voice caressed Jun’s ears and he gazed dazedly at the lips that had whispered to him. A wicked smile pulled back over white fangs, completing the devilishly lovely face hovering close to his. Long strands of midnight blue hair framed pale skin and matching eyes of this imposing stranger. Jun felt his heart skip a beat in his chest.
“I am here for you, Jun...” the apparition whispered into his ear.
“Wha? Who...Who?...” The boy could barely finish as moist lips began their work against the skin of his neck.
That same leaden weight held his
arms fast as he tried to raise them in protest, yet his body was flaring to
life under the ministrations of the man above. “Why can’t I move? What’s happening to me? What is he?...”
Pale fingers stripped away the comforter and scattered the stranger’s black clothing across the sheets. Like a shadow each movement was smooth and silent as he disrobed. Jun’s heart only pumped harder in his chest as he caught glimpses of the man’s flawless figure - lean, muscular, and somehow powerful in its fluid movements. A blush stained his cheeks as he caught himself staring, but found he could not look away.
“Jun...” the whisper seemed to caress his very skin as the man slid back over him, threading a hand under his shirt, the other slipping over his waist. The boy arched into the touch, blushing harder as he felt his own erection bump against the man’s stomach. The stranger seemed to sense his embarrassment and grinned, dipping to nibble sharply at the shell of Jun’s ear. “That’s right, Jun. Submit.”
The boy’s dark eyes rolled back and he shivered, needles of sensation fanning out over his tanned body. “Uhnn...”
The dark man’s hands traveled everywhere, sliding and caressing in the wake of endless kisses. Jun began to pant as he strained against the force holding him down. The man nipped and tormented his nipples into hardness, teased and licked down his flat stomach, biting down his pelvis. Each movement was sensual and methodical, drawing the boy out, seducing him slowly, and yet denying him satisfaction as he flirted around the Jun’s hard need. The man raised his deep blue eyes to gaze into his prey’s, relishing the conflicted torment reflected in them... How they pleaded to him for some kind of answer.
The shadow raised himself toward the boy’s lips and kissed hungrily, pulling back after a heated moment to gaze again. He brought Jun’s wrist up to his mouth and whispered against the skin, “Those questions are not important, Jun.” He watched the boy tense and relax as he licked against the pulse and smiled as he sank his teeth into the sensitive flesh. The boy’s eyes fluttered shut with a moan as the man drank, drawing blood from his veins and injecting pleasure in the same motion.
If the man’s touch had been pleasure, this feeding was ecstasy. Life sprang into each of Jun’s limbs, fire racing through each nerve ending as the boy arched up toward his captor. Suddenly the invisible weight was lifted, but Jun could only press himself against the stranger’s broad chest, crying needily. With a satisfied smack the dark man released Jun’s wrist and thrust him down against the mattress, quickly divesting him of his clothes. He positioned himself against Jun’s virgin opening and wrapped a hand around his hardness, teasing and stroking the boy into a frenzy of need. Now free, the boy thrashed in the man’s embrace, moaning and begging for release, “Ang, ahhh. Please. Yes!”
His captor revealed a fanged smile and pushed himself in, groaning as the boy swallowed him eagerly in tight heat. He set a maddeningly slow pace, and Jun was sure his body was on fire, and nearly screamed with each thrust and each cool stroke of the man’s hand. Pleasure inflamed every sense, drowning and smothering him as he came closer to climax. The dark stranger’s hair was all around him, his powerful body surging against him, moonlight framing his thrusting frame.
And suddenly the boy was cumming, shouting as his need burst from him, clawing at the man’s pale back as he released deep within him.
Jun felt like he was falling; the shadows were enveloping him...
He blinked hazily as he gazed up into eyes like the night sky... dark blue…shining like cold stars. A hand caressed his face and he was gone.
Bright sunlight clashed against closed eyelids, and Jun pulled his comforter up over his head against the assault. The chipper sound of birdsong wafted through the fabric, the incessant noise encouraging him to emerge again after a few moments. Jun sat up with a yawn, rubbing one eye lazily as he turned to the sliding door. His limbs froze suddenly as images of a dark figure framed by moonbeams flashed across his mind. He thrust back the blankets and stared at his naked body.
It was a few moments before he moved again, sliding his legs over the side of the bed and walking up to the glass. He stood motionless, gazing out into the backyard as a draft found its way through a crack in the door. The gust riffled the leaves of the textbook on the edge of his dresser and he caught sight of the image on the page. He’d never really examined the lady’s expression in the painting; a night terror sat upon her breast, grinning menacingly down at the woman in her nightdress as she lay, back arched, head thrust backward... with a look of twisted pleasure on her face.
